Research Exchanges in the Mathematics of Deep Learning with Applications
MSCA - Staff exchanges project
This project is about “mathematical aspects of deep learning algorithms and their applications”. We address several questions related to the mathematical foundations of neural networks and set up an interdisciplinary and inter-sectoral team to aid the design of test problems and validate the research results obtained. The name of the project is Research Exchanges in the Mathematics of Deep Learning with Applications (REMODEL).
This conference is open to researchers with an association to the EU REMODEL project.
Date: 11-13 May 2026 (recommended arrival on Sunday (10 May), the conference will end early afternoon on Wednesday).
Location: Scandic Nidelven, Trondheim, Norway

International conference on Scientific Computing and Machine Learning
Our forthcoming international conference on Scientific Computing and Machine Learning is now open for registration! This conference will take place at the University of Bath from 14-17 September 2026.
In recent years, machine learning methods for scientific computing have attracted much attention. Many methods are a combination of machine learning and/or theories of physics and/or computational mathematics. This conference aims to showcase the latest research in these areas, which have been fragmented while pursuing research in the same direction, to bridge the gap between them, and to promote collaboration.
Topics will include, but not limited to
ML for inverse problems
ML for differential equations
Operator learning
Neural ODEs and reconstruction of dynamics
Generative modelling
Geometric deep learning
Applications to:
Geo and environmental sciences (including weather and climate forecasting)
Medical imaging
Control theory
Electromagnetics
Drug discovery
